I downloaded the desktop app for my intel mac, copied the extracted app to the applications folder and run it by pressing the cntrl key to create a security exception.
But it just says launching... for a few seconds and then I get a blank screen with this message: Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).
I tried both the 2.7.2 and 2.7.0 versions and I get the same error.
Just in case it may have something to do the with the browser I'm using, I've tried changing the default browser (tried Chrome, Brave and Safari), but it didn't do anything.

Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information). is due to older versions of macOS not supporting a specific version of javascript used by one of the components of the desktop app.
It's not fixable for now because I can't reproduce it on my end so I can't locate which component is causing this.
The solution doesn't change, you will have to use the server version.
Okay, thank you for the fast reply. I have macos Monterey 12.7.6 version, I take it the only way to run the desktop version on macos would be upgrading to Ventura or newer?
