As part of the refactoring of the build system (see #898), pre-commit was added with default setup as recommended by https://learn.scientific-python.org/development/.

However, this currently results in many errors during pre-commit. To streamline the migration to the new build system, temporarily disable the failing pre-commit checks in .pre-commit-config.yaml
