I'm the dev of Make Bubbles Pop. Since our feature set overlaps a bit, there are two minor annoyances when installed alongside Particular, namely double bubble pop particles and double chest&barrel bubbles.
Since I'm planning to add dynamic switching between the three bubble types based on location in the future, I'll need to have control over when the bubble pop triggers for my mod.
So I think the best way to achieve better compatibility is to turn off bubble pops and chest/barrel bubbles in Particular by default when Make Bubbles Pop (make_bubbles_pop) is detected (chests and barrels randomly opening when under soul sand should be unaffected), but I'm open to other solutions as well :)
