I didn't plan on making a 4.x version of the plugin since Godot 4.x has built-in decal support.
Porting it shouldn't be hard and just a matter of renaming some shader built-in that got changed with 4.x (eg. WORLD_MATRIX becoming MODEL_MATRIX, and how screen buffers are accessed).
