Currently the functionality is to READ a file, and write if to a fixed filesystem location. This proposes to modify the behavior of SCMU and SC to set the (shared) LicensePath via SCMU and update the SC instance configurations to use this custom path. It should provide an easy method to open the source file/path so users can update/replace the license file.
It would also be great if it would not only support a filesystem location but also an url as the source.
This would make it much easier to manage licensen from a shared location and not have to revert to an undocumented workaround mentioned in the following issue:
