Guidelines/Rules For Posts
Filenames
Filename must follow this naming convention:
YYYY-MM-DD-DescriptiveName
Directory Organization
Blog posts are added to the
_post/
directory. Initially, I started out with a year directory, 2024. That became unwieldy to manage, maintain, and find, so I created a month directory._posts/
2024/
10/
11/
12/
2025/
01/
02/
Post Template
Below is the template to use for blog posts:
Government Agencies
Federal Government Agencies
Use this table to get the appropriate agency name, abbreviation, and website.
A-Z index of U.S. government departments and agencies / USAGov
Use this format to put agency names in the tags: Agency Name (Abbreviation).
Example: CDC
Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
State Agencies
This will require some research. Use Google to search for " government website". In the markdown area of the post, make it a link.
Style Guidelines
