There are quite a few (most? all?) dropdowns that seem not to be sorted, and have no control over what items appear there. Since in our Simplero data we have many products, tags, and other item types, any time one of those item types appears as a dropdown, there is a very long and unsorted list making it hard and time consuming to find the right item.

Some suggestions: 1) at the least, make alphabetic sort the default; better yet, offer options to sort alphabetically, by most recently used, or by most recently created; 2) allow some items to be tagged as inactive for appearance in dropdown lists. For example, we have had many products or tags that were old events or tags connected to old events, and therefore are not needed for most purposes. We no longer need to see them in dropdown lists, and it should be possible to check a box saying to hide the item from dropdowns; 3) perhaps allow items to be starred as a priority or "sticky" i.e. to appear at the top of dropdown lists for that item type

The inactive or favorited status would only affect dropdown lists (maybe somewhere else as well, but I can't think of where). The goal is to help users with many items control what appears onscreen on a daily basis for current use.
