Do you need a space before a "." in a graph pattern?

Or do graph patterns/KIs no longer match if one has a space and the other doesn't?

I seemed to have a case where KIs didn't match when there was no space before the "." in a graph pattern while using the Knowledge Mapper. Not sure if this is actually bug, and if so if it is Knowledge Mapper specific or a bug in the Knowledge Engine.
