When writing a post on a playground site, I would like to show some images in a gallery.
I use a shortcode for this e.g. "[gallery ids="1,2,3,4"]".
The images do show only all in a vertical row, in a single column. The shortcode attributes like "Columns="4"" don't seem to work.
Is this a bug or a feature? Or are shortcodes not supported in the playground?

This probably just means the theme you are testing doesn't have CSS for multi-column gallery shortcodes.
Most modern themes like the new default theme, Twenty-Twenty Five, are block-based and encourage to use blocks for things like that. So I recommend using the Gallery block instead.
