Feature Request: Pre-Process Sorting

In cases where queries return records in excess of 10,000, it'd be great to be able to say, "Only pull the top 10,000 ordered by list_date or last_updated" or the like. That way, when we hit a limit, we can choose which top records to return (ie, top 10000 by desc list_date, last_updated, etc.)
