I like the idea of blocking ads, but this is going on the back burner for a few reasons. Mainly because its going to be a high maintenance cost.
Also, not to minimize the use case by excluding any website, but specifically web apps are going to get first class support, and if you don't trust the web app you're installing, then you probably shouldn't install it.
I understand there is lots of nuance to why someone would install said app, so I'll add it to the planned features, but don't expect this soon.
As far as I remember WebKit offers an ad removal feature on its own, like it's present on Safari, GNOME Web, and other WebKit-based browsers. as @Skaldebane said, you could easily integrate this.
Add ad blocking on a app by app basis. Users should have the option to block all advertisements a website turned app might try to throw at them.
