I'm looking for the problem that has always plagued this HW generation.
The brightness control never worked.
I've tried everything over time, with no results.
I believe the problem is the lack of configuration of an Arrandale compatible panel.
The thing I noticed, analyzing ioreg, is the lack of strings in the PNLF device

Is it possible to have your support to try to resolve the problem??

I also encountered this problem, but on a higher version.

So you have the same problem, with the same CPU and newer OS???
Or with + recent CPU??
This problem has always been present.
I DO NOT know why they have always tried to use PNLF UID 14 intended for Sandy\Ivy Bridge.
Perhaps because in the past Rehabman had released Kexts for brightness control, but with those Kexts that worked until 10.12.3.

Yes, my device is i7-8550U, and this problem still occurs in the higher version, including UHD630
