The PR mainly changes the terminology from external model to gate function to align with the literature.
The reparametrization function has been updated to take arbitrary layer subsets rather than a layer type. This allows a partial parametrization of the circuit (e.g. half the sums, only the inputs on a set of scopes etc.). The example notebook is updated to reflect these changes but does not investigate flexible reparametrizations yet.
