Number of contacts shouldn't be a problem. Can you provide a verbose log / debug info / or an error message?

For large VCFs: same as #1126 (please post there if you have an idea)

When there are a large number of contacts, the synchronization time is longer and the phone goes into sleep, which can cause the background process to be killed, resulting in the inability to synchronize. Therefore, when I set the phone to prevent sleep or stay in the background mode, the synchronization works normally. I hope to add automatic renewal. Thank you.
