Since the release of MongoDB.Driver 2.28, all library maintainers must update their library :-(

This is unfortunate but looks like they are not going to change their mind. https://www.mongodb.com/community/forums/t/net-c-driver-strong-naming/291649

I see that the project has not been receiving any update for a while so not sure it will happen? Or if a PR would be accepted?

looks like this project is abandoned
I'm version locked due to some much more critical nuget packages moving to 2.28

it's MIT licensed so I'm going to just fork it privately within our org
