The current BV2BIDS tool specifies "BESA" as the EEGCoordinateSystem in the *_coordsystem.json file, however, this is not a valid entry as a EEGCoordinateSystem for BIDS validation. This causes a BIDS validation error. See https://neurostars.org/t/bids-validation-error-eeg-brainvision/18516.

Separately, it would be useful if BV2BIDS would enable a feature that allowed to specify the run of a task.

Hi @tvanasse, thanks for making us aware about the issue. It's under investigation and we'll update you once we know more.

In the meantime, hope you can proceed further with the workaround provided by @sappelhoff
