  • finishing up moderation (ui, workflows)
  • mixed networking capabilities (webrtc+websockets+tcp/udp) all in the same cabal swarm
  • getting web clients to work with upgraded capabilities in beaker and dat-webext
  • sending/receiving files in the terminal client

  • blind peers: allowing seeding of cabals w/o reading contents
  • ephemeral messages (time-limited messages, e.g. useful for organizing for a deadline)
  • sneakernet replication (adding support for syncing data over usb, ftp, email)
  • invite-only cabals (by pre-authorizing public keys. disallows other public keys from syncing messages)
  • blocks, mutelists, and trusted peers (cblgh thesis-related. use trusted peers to filter views)
  • bluetooth sync (stretchgoal)
  • private channels
  • improve cabal(-core) documentation

The previous (partially successful) Dat applications is here: https://github.com/datproject/organization/blob/master/grants/2018-MOSS/application.md

I'd love for y'all to get this and would be happy to review the application!

To be clear, the grant they funded to Dat was only for documentation/community and landed into their bucket of "foundational technology" that mozilla relies upon. Cabal likely won't be able to make the same claim, so it would be better to go for the "mission partners" track.
