  • Helper is entered in active shift (Shift planner/Shifts).
  • The facility manager changes this active shift to a restricted shift via Shift Planner/Shifts.
  • Helper remains registered but does not appear in Administration/Members.
    https://dev.volunteer-planner.org/orgs/stattmission/Einrichtung1/manage/members
  • Helper appears in shift planner/shift helper (but has not been activated) but is assigned to the shift (user name is not displayed but
    a slot is occupied).
  • Only when the helper signs out in the frontend, he would have to apply at the facility "Become a member".

What is the expected behaviour?

it would be good if the helper then becomes an applicant for a member status in the facility.
That is, as if a helper had registered for a restricted shift. However, the helper would also have to receive a notification that he or she cannot simply start the shift but must consult with the facility.

This means: when the shift is changed from "open for anyone" to "members only" all enlisted helpers, that are not members of this shift will be unassigned from the shift and get an email that they need to become a member of the org / facility first and then re-enlist themselves?

ie.

Hi {{username}},

you signed up to help at {{ shift with time and date }} at {{ facility }}. However, a manager of the {{ facility }} changed the shift to be available for members of this facility only. Because you are not a member of this facility or the organization managing this facility yet, we had to unassign you from this shift. In order to join this shift again, please apply to become a member of said facility or organization at {{ url to join org }} and sign up for an open shift again after you have been accepted.

We apologize for any inconvinience,

Before doing so, we could require the manager to decide, how he wants to us to handle the helpers, that are non-members when changing the shift availablity to "members-only": "unassign them from the shift" or "promote them members of facility".

This is a good idea.

In this case, however, the corresponding helper would have to be entered directly in the shift for which he/she has applied... OR he gets an EMAIL with the request to register then.
