i have to take some pills every morning, and i usually get up quite early (like 5am ish) and since my head is a bit foggy, i often can't remember if I've taken the pills today or if my brain is fooling me and serving me up a memory that was actually from the day before.

I've been using habittrove to log me taking them, but I've just shifted the problem downstream a bit because sometimes I forget to update the habit on the app, so I'm back to square one.

I was thinking it would be handy to have a little wifi-connected button (like Flic or some other chinese one like xiaomi / aqara or whatever) next to where I take my pills, so I just press the button and it completes a habit or task via a webhook somehow.

Any plans like that? It would be incredibly helpful. I could see it being useful for kids completing habits as well, I think.

API support in general is planned. For the use case you mentioned, there will be API endpoint to call for completing a habit by habit id.

But just to keep the expectations in check, this feature will likely be further down the road.
