I figured I would throw this out there: Would the current software be able to accept translations for the docs, or would it need to be something like what Godot uses for docs? I just think there would be a lot more contributions if people had the option to translate the documents and attract others to the API.

I think it supports translations, but there are no plans at the moment. It's very hard to maintain one set of docs, maintaining them in multiple languages and ensuring a certain level of quality (and up to dateness!) is just too damn time consuming/hard.
