Easee equalizer as meter

I see in the charger code that you can read data from the equalizer. But why not use it as power meter? Or is it just a question of that no one has tried?

This is exactly how I would like to use it, as the Equalizer is connected to the P1 of my smart meter, hence knows exactly the values to/from the grid
