Sunny Home Manager Generation 1

Hi

This is the first time for me to actively start a discussion on github, so please forgive me for any wrong doing in advance ;-)

I am looking for an integration for a wallbox into the old generation of the sunny home manager.

The new SMH 2.0 already has a lot of built in features for steering the loading of an EV in connection with Mennekes and the SMA EV Charger, and i understand that the integration of other WBs can be easily done with evcc.

It would be great though if we had an integration possibility with the old generation of the sunny home manager as there is also a big community out there with this setup.
Has anyone ever considered this possibility and knows also the differences between old and new generation of SHM?

Please just try it. There is a high chance that it runs out of the box.
Until now I think that there is no difference regarding the transmission of grid metering data to the LAN.
But anyway we will find a solution.

I am using the current SHM module with Gen 1 SHM and it works fine.
For meter support you can use :

- name: shm
  type: sma
  serial: #your-serial 

For SHM display of consumption and planning you can use:

hems:
  type: sma
  allowcontrol: false # set true to allow SHM controlling charger in PV modes

in the config file.
