Tracking Down Source of Duplicate Folders

I've been using Floccus for awhile now and just noticed that I have several duplicated folders in my bookmarks now-- no idea when it actually happened and I'm not sure which computer and/or browser might have caused the problem in the first place.

Is there a good way of searching the logs to find that kind of information? I'm not seeing any computer or browser names in a quick scan of the log. I'm syncing three or four different computers with half a dozen different browsers on each computer, so there's a very good chance that I opened a browser I haven't used in awhile on my laptop or something and ended up causing an error due to the way it is configured or Firefox sync getting enabled accidentally or something. (Assuming this is a configuration issue is one of the main reasons that I've posting this as a question first, rather than an issue.)

I'd like to resolve any issues before I go through the tedious task of cleaning up the extra bookmarks ideally.

Are you syncing your bookmarks with other means in parallel to floccus, perhaps?

Not intentionally-- I did start using Floorp relatively recently and that might have defaulted to Sync being on; I thought I caught that before it did any damage, but it's possible this happened at that time and I just didn't notice. (Actually, I just checked and I'm not even signed in on that browser and Floccus wasn't installed, so presumably that wasn't it. I do seem to recall finding some browser that had bookmark sync activated somehow recently though and I do use it for browser history, settings, and add-ons.)

It's possible either the Chrome or Firefox ecosystems somehow had it flipped to active briefly; which could be part of the problem. One of the folders duplicated actually is Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks Menu though, so presumably a Firefox variant unless a Chrome variant pulled my bookmarks from Firefox.

It does seem like it's more than a one off thing though, because in addition to that Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks menu (which is basically every bookmark I have), several other random folders have been duplicated as well at the root level.

So basically I have:

Bookmarks Menu

• AAA
• BBB
• CCC
• DDD
• • EEE
• AAA (duplicate)
• DDD (duplicate)
• EEE (old folder I moved actually, which does lead me to think it was an old browser I haven't used in awhile)
• Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks Menu

I haven't actually ever used the default Sync methods intentionally, I basically went from X-Marks > Everysync > Floccus and the other two aren't actually installed anymore.
