Allow sidebar resizing #1366

Currently the sidebar takes up about a third of the horizontal width of the screen. I would like to keep the sidebar open but have it take up less space, so that I have more canvas space. However, doesn't seem possible to resize the sidebar right now.

What do you do keeping the sidebar open? (just curious)
