left/right -> inline, top/bottom -> block

This can save us future effort for multilingual sites.

@jackmakesthings (or whoever does this work) -- you might want to look at the code changes and comments in this PR to the Drupal version to see how we handled this and discussions we had around how to implement. forumone/gesso#864
