There isn't actually such a thing as "regular JST". JST only has one 1.25mm pitch connector, and that is the GH variant. But the connector used is definitely not the JST-GH. So, what's the real deal?
What's actually going on here is that the connector is a Molex PicoBlade -- in other words, a connector that isn't designed by J.S.T. Mfg. Co., and therefore isn't a "JST". Unfortunately, "JST" is incorrectly used as an all-encompassing term to describe this style of connector. Because "JST" is often misused in this way, you'll often find matching listings when searching for "JST 6 pin".
