Related to Homebrew/homebrew-core/pull/209090

deps directory in last release tag (v0.3.0) is empty. It is not possible to use mupdf library installed somewhere

Neither git submodule update (tags don’t have .git files) nor zig build --fetch don’t work

Would it be possible to try to find mupdf somewhere else if deps directory is empty or include submodules in release tags?
