Include Legal Requirements in Modeling Process #6
Comments
We will take a two-phase approach and speak with neighborhood councils for understanding of legal process. |
Put together an agenda for Empower LA with all the questions we want to ask them (including but not limited to):
added to list of questions document |
Progress: None |
Progress: Compiling empowerla information from website. |
Progress: Added more links to the initial issue that contains insightful information regarding the impact of the Brown Act and agenda process. |
Progress: Created document to compile information regarding legal requirements. Added link to main issue comments. Located pdf training documents for review. |
I reviewed the videos from the links above and read through the documentation. I produced a document that reads like If -> Then for a web-based platform that ours could be. |
@eli let's connect to review the comments on the If/Then document. I am more available this week. |
Eli and I met regarding comments on If/Then document. The document is updated, and we are clear about document content. |
The team created preliminary questions for LA City Attorney. Questions should be further developed at next meeting. |
I sent Bonnie an email with questions and issue number for further assistance with setting up a meeting. |
I will send Bonnie a follow-up email inquiring if Mario Hernandez can respond to the questions the team created. |
Bonnie will ask Julien on Friday |
Julien provided the answers on 8/6/21: Q: What part of the agenda are members allowed to discuss between meetings? None, but they can have a process to add items to the agenda (a folder, form, recommendations from committees, etc.) then the president or executive committee, will produce the agenda. Some NCs publish how they do the agenda setting so that people can ask for things to be added. Q: What happens to agenda items that need to be changed last minute? For example, a presenter is unavailable or cancels close to meeting time. |
Bonnie will send an email to Mary at Conoga Park NC to request interview. |
