Sugestion

Allow the users to save a template (from the GitHub API or a personalized one) and modify it according to their needs.

Could you expand on this a little more? Let's us start a conversation and brainstorm about how we can integrate this into the extension. I'd be happy to hear ideas.

Also, sorry for the late response. I haven't looked at this repo's issues in a long time.

Hi @hasit.
As far as I remember, my suggestion was...

The extension allows the user to get a gitignore file from a GitHub API; these files are written by the GitHub community, reason why the gitignore files could be considered as templates that could be modified by developers according to the project needs.
With that in mind, what if the VS Code users also could create their own gitignore files and save them in a local storage folder or even download a file from the gitignore API, modify it and save it for future projects.
