While trying to create a reproducible, measurable, large volume topic traffic test i found some sort of reproducible power limitation that jerks the power out from the Raspberry Pi 5 mounted on my Create3. The USB-C power meter was reading 9.5W average with some 9.8W peaks seen when the Pi5 is powering the Oak-D-Lite camera with the depthai-ros driver publishing a raw video image, the neural net object detections, and the stereo depth image topic.
BOOM Pi5 is powered but pulling 0W.
The Create3 seemed to go through periods of "I'm not reliably listening to you" but always recovered.
I don't really know how to diagnose what is happening, so I'm just feeling bummed today.
Oak-D-Lite active - USB 3 Power to device 5W max:
At the Pi5 with Oak-D-Lite and depthai-ros launch.camera.py 10.1W max :
Does it mean it is not a power issue if the crash left a core file?
