Search not working when ending with space

Describe your issue

The Android app search does not show any results if I do a search query that ends in a space. The query text needs to be trimmed, removing all leading and trailing spaces.

Steps to reproduce

Open the app
Click the search and type in a query and append a space after it.
No results are returned.

Expected behavior

Shows the searches movie or tv show
