The project is in a very early stage but already can read mugen file. It has the following know issues:
Bug in stage backgrounds
Missing support for companions and projectiles
Sprites generation is ineficcient. It could be using the shader approach used in gdnative-rust-poc
Low FPS, this can be improved moving some hot code to rust modules. I did a experiment of using all logic in rust and godot as a io layer, this project can be useful as a reference: gd-native-rust-poc
