MPV does not play any videos due to a 'gpu-next' error

Describe the bug
When attempting to play a video, MPV does not open.
The following error is shown in the log:
mpv: vo/gpu-next: Failed initializing any suitable GPU context!
Removing 'vo=gpu-next' from the config resolves the issue, but results in washed out colours.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Launch the Flatpak version of Jellyfin shim
2. Attempt to play a video from the Jellyfin web UI
3. MPV fails to open/play the video
4. The above error message appears in the application log.

Expected behavior
Video should start to play without any errors.
