Can I automatically open $EDITOR when I want to commit?

So when I press c on the [2] Files tab, it would open the default commit editor

I'd prefer to use my editor, and to achieve it you, you would do <C-o>e.

The question here is, can I just open the COMMIT_EDITMSG file when I press c immediately? Perhaps some option to do so? Thanks.

You can, by default it's under upper case C:
