online-websocket-server.cc with python wrapper

is it possible to have python wrapper over online-websocket-server.cc somehow?
I did see that /python_api_examples/streaming_server.py, is there as a python interface for the server,
but online-websocket-server.cc would be more performant than python asyncio interface (expectation, haven't run any benchmarking for it yet)
