Incorrect rendering of leaves using custom block models

Expected result:

Actual result:

you can see that the bushes in front of the leaves aren't rendered, while those on the back faces of the block are.
When I have the time I'll do a render with a few other features, including:

• other bushy leaves
• 3D crops
• 3D mushrooms

@Enderdodo974 Which mod or data pack is this? I'd like to debug why this model doesn't render correctly.
