hey, freshman year computer science student here.

I program a lot in my free time. recently, I decided I wanted to learn matter.js so I could make some cool physics demos and things like that. I usually use vscode.dev on my school computer (it's a chrombook, sucks, I know), which means that the school website restrictions apply. this also means that brm.io is classified as a blocked website because it has the .io name. i'm wondering whether someone would be willing to port the matter.js documentation to a different website or file for me and others in my position?

Does archive.org circumvent the block?

Hmm, weird. Suggestions:

  • Download the repo and run the doc build command here
  • Use a VPN
  • Use a tool like https://github.com/potahtml/mpa-archive to download the site
  • Download individual pages by hand (there are only ~30 pages I think, should only take 5-10 minutes)

This is a managed chromebook I'm using, so I don't have access to any command line utilities. I can't use a vpn because they're all unable to be installed on chromeOS, and the few that can don't work due to administration settings. I can't download the individual pages because brm.io is network blocked so it throws a network error when I try to download a page without visiting it.

I'm suggesting doing this on another computer and copying the files to your Chromebook. You can't use a public library computer, a friend's computer, or any other device to do this?
