min:8 not working locally, as in the example

Hello,
I am trying to use the min:8 in my code.

My code is as follow:

Password

If I enter: 1234, it says: password is not valid.

But if I try the min example here: Playground
The input field must be at least 3 characters

Why do I not see the same behaviour in my local code?
I am using version: 4.5.10 of both vee-validate and rules.

You probably didn't configure locale for these rules, check this file in the example.
