If longer that 64 chars Zen cart crashes with a data truncation error

Thank you for reworking the issue to mitigate the problem. Took a minute to understand the situation thinking the problem was plug-in execution specific, not as reported a problem with Zen Cart functionality/restrictions of encapsulated plugins.
