It seems the -tos option is not working. I built the lastest release using the Dockerfile provided in the code and ran a client and server container based on centos 7. When inspecting the packets from the client, the ToS field in the IP header was not set.
I ran the server and client as following:
Dockerfile to test:
FROM centos:7
COPY ethr /
Server:
docker run --rm --name server ethr-test ./ethr -s
Client:
docker run --rm --name client ethr-test ./ethr -c 172.17.0.2 -b 10M -p tcp -t b -tos 56
I inspected the packets in the docker0 interface using Wireshark and this is how they looked:
I tried different values for ToS but none of them worked.
