Unable to catch GraphQL error in django testing

I am testing my resolver in graphQl, i am working with django and ariadne library. this is the test i wrote:

This is the function i am using to get response from graphql:

But i am not able to catch the error, i may be using wrong approach but all i want to do is pass wrong value in query and match error messages as expected,

AssertionError: GraphQLError not raised : Trigger not found

You can't use assertRaises in this approach, you can only introspect contents of GraphQL response for errors key.

This is because exceptions raised in API client are mangled through query executor and converted into GraphQL response.

Thank you @rafalp for your answer. As i am able to check for error through this r.json()["errors"][0]["message"] .My test is passsed but i am getting error in my terminal. Is it possible to not throw error in the terminal and suppress graphQL error by any exception handling ?

What kind of error you are seeing on terminal?
