It would be great to add desktop support to this plugin. Implemented could it be in a similar way as the android update process. A download url is passed and the executable gets downloaded and opened/installed afterwards. Is something like this planned or in development?

I don’t know much about desktop development, I need to study it

ok, but would this be a feature you would want to support if you could find a way?

I am willing to perfect it if I can

That would be great. I don't know much about msix but for general ZIP installations on Windows, the process would be not that complicated. The biggest problem would be that you can't override the exe file of the app that currently wants to update itself. All that could be solved easily by an second process but I don't know how easy it would be to implement that in an customizable way (the first challenge would probably to find a way to start a second flutter app (updater) packaged together with the main one from the main one).
