Can't Install iw3 on Linux Ubuntu

I'm trying to install iw3 on Linux Ubuntu 22.04 but I get an error when trying to open the gui. I have followed the steps outlined in "INSTALL-ubuntu.md".

When I run python -m iw3.gui

I get the following error:

I saw someone post a similar issue when installing on Linux mint and I've tried the same solution (updating pytorch).

Something to note. I am using a virtual environment.
I'm relatively new to Linux so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I guess you don't have libtiff as the error message says.
Try installing all the packages indicated below.
https://github.com/wxWidgets/Phoenix#prerequisites

This is a problem with wxpython installation.

Thanks for the quick reply. I got it up and running using your suggestion and a couple additional steps. Writing it out for others who run into the same issue.

Download prerequisites using the link below.
https://github.com/wxWidgets/Phoenix#prerequisites

Next, download libtiff5.
sudo apt install libtiff5

If you try launching iw3.gui and get an error regarding "colorspace", use the following following command:

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Next, close the terminal and reopen the virtual environment in the nunif root. Go through steps 4-5 again in "INSTALL-ubuntu.md".

Finally run the following command to open the iw3 gui
python -m iw3.gui

Hopefully if you follow these steps it will open and run as intended. Your mileage may vary but that is what I had to do to get mine working (I know almost nothing about Linux so... don't expect too much).

Also just wanted to say thank you for creating this tool! I've really enjoyed it over the past couple of months. I'm really looking forward to the implementation of depth anything video down the road.

Also random question. In your experience does Linux or Windows have better performance? I'm getting near identical results with my RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.

I don't have dual boot environment so I haven't really compared performance differences due to OS on the same hardware.
Previously, there were performance issues due to pytorch windows binary build configuration and nvidia driver limitations, but there may be little difference now.
