This test is written assuming that the DP-to-HDMI cable is connected to dGPU port DP-7, which is the topmost port on the video card (where the top is furthest from the PCIe connector). In some cases, dGPU sees the cable plugged into DP-6 instead, which causes this test to fail. dGPU normally indicates a connection to DP-6 when a straight DP-to-DP cable is connected to a DP monitor, and DP-7 when that same dGPU port is connected with a DP-to-HDMI cable to an HDMI monitor-- so this is likely contributing to this failure. When systems are powered up with the DP-to-HDMI cable to an HDMI monitor, tests perform as expected.
