shh password invalid

Hi!
been trying to connect to my ADRV9364-Z7020 and ADRV1CRR-BOB via ssh from Raspberry Pi 5, the Pi is connected with ethernet cable and the link between the two is ok.
When trying to use ssh the password in the README file "openwifi" is not working. tried some other possible ones but still...
I looked through the SD in /path/to/sdcard/rootfs/etc and changed the password in the "shadow" file to be empty but still doesn't seem to work.
