client_id_scheme mechanism has been incorporated into OID4VP and the WG seemed to have agreed that it would be a good idea to have the same mechanism in VCI and SIOPv2 specs.

Note: when PAR is used, no need for client_id_scheme, assertion_type is sufficient. assertion type acts as a client_id_scheme

there has been no need for client_id_scheme in VCI, but SIOP v2 will highly likely benefit from it.
