Radvd 2.20 was released a few days ago. It would be nice to get the version packaged with opnsense updated to get support for the pref64 RA option!

@Mstrodl if you wan to test 2.20 you can do so via:

# pkg add -f https://pkg.opnsense.org/FreeBSD:14:amd64/snapshots/misc/radvd-2.20.pkg

We will no taint 24.7.12 (EoL release) with 2.20 as it just makes no sense from a release engineering perspective. It should land in 25.1 at the end of the month (if not RC).

I appreciate everyone jumping the gun here but after this many years we can wait a few more weeks...

Cheers,
Franco

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say it should be included in an old release. I assumed the master branch was for future releases.

@Mstrodl No worries! The choice to use the main branch for releases was an early shortcut that seemed to work out fine since we sync the ports tree in batches to allow for drift between us and FreeBSD ports (cutting edge vs. build issues vs. release concerns vs. local modifications).

Cheers,
Franco
