@lsmith77 asked about support for Apple TV in the repo of the old ownCloud iOS app. (owncloud/ios-legacy#705)

@lsmith77 What is your use case? Could you elaborate? Would it help to use the app on iPhone or iPad and only stream content to Apple TV via AirPlay?

Maybe a workaround:
EasyCloud WebDAV (3rd party Apple TV app that can access ownCloud via WebDAV)

@michaelstingl mostly the use case would be convenience .. ie. not having to have an iDevice to be able to look at a photo gallery. Kind of the same experience one has with the Apple native photos app and their iCloud service.

still running an early 9.x version. after connecting with the easycloud webdav app I get a list of 21 folders (which is the correct number including shared folders). but the names are “null” and opening a folder just gives me the loading spinner :(

it also now crashed once trying to connect ..
I guess I will contact EasyCloud about this ..

but so far it seems like the webdav protocol implementations are not 100% compatible. did you manage to successfully use this app? if so which owncloud version? are you aware of any improvements to webdav recently? the support has been around since a long time in owncloud.

did you manage to successfully use this app?

It was only the 1st Google result that popped up. Maybe there are other similar apps that can connect using WebDAV.
