how to create trackers and make them available

I have started uploading files / folders that I had downloaded before a hard drive crash. I lost all the trackers for them, and some I cannot find again on websites to redo. (many I just found matching and "downloaded" it to the complete file. This read as complete and started up loading again. But, for example, I have an old movie in my list that is listed as seeding, but has no trackers. ('edit trackers' is empty) How do I find and add trackers? Or create them? I have files with 5+ trackers, so I would like to know how to create and upload trackers for these torrents.

I have a torrent that has 288 peers, but when I check 'edit trackers' on right click, there are NONE. Can some one direct me to a web site to show me how?
I never got past BASIC back in college so I know nothing about programing, so if I need to code something it is beyond me. QBit has a simple way to create a torrent, But I need to add trackers.
Some of them I was able to find on some of the regular torrent sites to add in but still don't have a tracker in.

Reading original opening post makes it seem you actually just want to add some trackers to old existing torrent transfers to find more peers, instead of creating a totally new torrent file or a unique tracker. If you created a new torrent, then you might never see old ones complete or will have constant errors when files are accessed or overwritten by multiple torrents that have same file names and download location.

There's no such thing as uploading a tracker, it's either adding extra to existing one with help of a torrenting client or creating a new unique torrent file that includes trackers and then sharing it with others or uploading such *.torrent file or magnet to a specific website if you want to seed whatever you have, then again you need to add it to torrenting client, otherwise you can't seed.

If you have corrupted files or partial downloads and want to finish downloading, then just Google search how to enable port forwarding to have a higher chance of finding peers, also search for a list of working torrent trackers or just search for your torrent transfers name or content files, then you might find a better *. torrent file that includes trackers and qBittorrent might allow to merge them to existing transfer.

If merging trackers fails, then look at qBittorrent settings and log file to know more. If you have added private torrents then you might need to manually add a specific tracker or public trackers or remove old and re-add a new torrent transfer. All depends what torrent transfers you already have and where you got them.

How do I find and add trackers.

Google search for "torrent trackers list", there's multiple websites and frequently updated lists shared in GitHub that include various working trackers or try luck finding peers with copying trackers from existing torrents to others.

To add extra trackers to existing transfers, you Right-click on a torrent transfer, select to edit trackers and copy paste and click ok to apply, then look at trackers tab to see if there's any issues.

Remember that by default you need to separate each tracker with a empty line, otherwise qBittorrent will try to connect and announce to only the first one in a tier.

Also try to remember that the more trackers you add, the higher chance you get that qBittorrent will fail to connect with some of them or just doesn't announce often enough to find peers quickly enough and loading up and exiting torrenting clients can slow down a lot.

Sometimes just need to be patient to find peers and having trackers isn't always necessary if DHT, PeX and Port Forwarding is working fine.

Yes, I did / do want to create / add a tracker to a file(s) that are in my upload list. The torrent fully downloaded and waits in QBit, but a hard drive crash lost many of the trackers. Most of the file/folders I was able to find and download the torrents aimed at the folder containing the file and read as completed and started uploading again. But there are a few that I cannot find a torrent to upload. One torrent has 700+ peers waiting for it so I would think there are trackers somewhere. But this has been like this for at least 2 weeks.
I still have the .torrent file in my folder for it.
So are you saying I will have to create a new torrent for one in my download list that is complete?
Or does the creation of the torrent create a tracker?
I just tried loading the torrent again- still no trackers... Please explain what else I can do. TY

No. It doesn't matter if a torrent transfer download is complete or not, you don't even need a *.torrent file to have a torrent transfer shown in a torrenting clients. Some websites already include trackers, some not.

No, you're supposed to add trackers to existing torrent transfers to increase likelihood to find more peers.

Everyone can create a *. torrent file or a magnet link with or without trackers, some websites might add or remove trackers, and it seems very unlikely to find any seeder if you lack experience or don't understand the basics.

So read again what multiple things I wrote to keep in mind, what to try and your own texts. You even mentioned yourself about right-click to edit torrent transfers trackers. So copy-paste trackers from another torrent or search online for working torrent trackers lists.

Trackers aren't always required to find other peers. Some trackers even report false info or some seeders just currently aren't able to or aren't willing to share data with everyone.

That's not long at all. I have sometimes have had to wait multiple years, even if I already had stable internet, enabling port forwarding and adding multiple trackers.

If you can find peers, then your DHT or PeX seems to work fine enough with the torrent. You can't force a peer to seed. If there's 700 peers, then that's a lot, have to hope that someone connects with a seeder and shares data with others.

If really desperate to complete a download, then looking online for same torrent or individual files has allowed me to find multiple websites to get a torrent with extra trackers or to download missing files and afterwards doing force recheck has even allowed me to become a seeder. Unfortunately adding trackers or replacing files with another with same name and file sizes doesn't always guarantee to be enough to get a torrent transfer complete.
