You should avoid running qBit with admin rights, otherwise there's a security risk and it's unnecessary if you're fine with downloading to most common safer locations. Maybe you're seeing dialog because you have enabled Windows Smart Screen feature, not logged in as admin, have somehow got enabled bad qBit settings, set to download to inappropriate download locations or using unstable Windows build? |

Windows now asking" do you want to allow this app from unknown publisher to make changes to your device"
This recently started (past week) and each time I try to add a new magnet or torrent, I get a screen asking "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?". Running v5.0.4
As background, I did have a hard drive crash on a storage drive a few weeks ago. I did notice it until now when I started adding several new torrents. It does it both getting the torrent or the magnet link.
I did have to reload a number of files into Qbit at the time and did not have the problem, so I don't think that is it. Those went pretty smoothly, just find the matching magnet link and let it check the files. I can't find any setting in Windows 11 Pro to change this.
I went to QBit property in windows and it is set to "run as administrator" with "full control" under the security tab.
I restarted QBit after changing the settings and still have the question. Only then will the box come up to confirm ? Select the file(s) to download,
